Free Public Computers
Carbondale Public Library has twelve computers available for free public use during Library hours. Patrons can log on using their library card, or 90-minute guest passes are available.
Homebound Delivery
Homebound Delivery is available for Carbondale Public Library cardholders living within Carbondale city limits who are physically unable to visit the Library due to frailty, extended illness or disability. Call 618-457-0354 ext. 7, or email Patrick King at pking@carbondale.lib.il.us to request service.

Lawyer in the Library Program
Lawyer in the Library (LIL) programs offer free, no-obligation 20-minute sessions for advice from an attorney. The scheduling options for LIL programs are dependent on the hosting library. The Illinois First Judicial Circuit Court covers Alexander, Jackson, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, and Williamson counties.

Meeting Room Rental
The Carbondale Public Library has a meeting room with a seating capacity of 40 in an auditorium-style arrangement. The primary purpose of the meeting room is to support Library functions and promote the Library’s programs of service to the community. It is also available for a $15 rental fee to nonprofit civic, cultural, and educational organizations for events open to the public. Notary Public
The Carbondale Public Library offers free notary public services during Library hours. A valid ID with your signature is required so the notary can verify your identity. Notaries cannot provide legal advice or counseling regarding the documents.
Printing, Copying, and Faxing
The Carbondale Public Library offers printing from public computers as well as mobile printing.

Color copies & prints: 30 cents/page
Fax: $1 for first page, 10 cents for each additional page

Social Work in the Library
The Library’s full-time social worker plays a vital role in staff consultations, directly supporting patrons, and building community partnerships.
