Healthy Aging for Women: Achieving Health for all Through Practices and Policies

Co-editor and Author of Healthy Aging through the Social Determinants of Health (APHA press), Dr. Jurkowski brings light to the promotion of healthy aging, particularly for women both domestically and globally to celebrate Women’s History Month.

Dr. Jurkowski has worked within the aging arena locally and globally to improve the status of women and people growing older in developed and developing countries. Author of nine books, numerous articles, and presentations, she brings an enthusiasm for program and policy changes to improve the status of health conditions for women. Come and hear Dr. Jurkowski’s perspective on the UN Sustainable Development Goals: (3) Good Health and Well-Being; and (5) Gender Equity, and how these can apply to you, our community, and the world.
