We have a new exhibit up at the library!
Throughout this year’s Summer Reading, CPL held several art programs for tweens, teens, and adults. The Art of Summer Reading is the culmination of artwork created during these programs.
Some pieces are available for sale, with all proceeds going to the library. CPL is thankful for the creativity and generosity of its patrons.
2024 Summer Art Programs included in the exhibit:
- Collage Club – Collage Club Happy Hour is a monthly art program for adults, hosted by Booby’s on the Fourth Thursday of every month. During the summer, Collage Club was part of CPL’s Popupcycle series, a weekly sustainable arts + craft programs for adults at various Carbondale locations.
- Teen Summer Photography Contest – Teens entered their best – or favorite – picture from Summer Break, with prizes given to First, Second, and Third place.
- Project Next Generation – PNG is a grant-funded program that offers STEAM activities to 5th – 12th graders. The 2024 Summer Session featured a variety of physical and digital art projects.
